In 1999, The Cluetrain Manifesto www.cluetrain.org described the coming reality with 95 Theses. The first thesis is “Markets are conversations.” I didn’t know what that meant at the time, but over the last ten years we have seen major changes in how we communicate with our customers and employees. Now, under the name “Social Media” we are seeing fundamental changes in how we communicate with prospects and external partners. Understanding and effectively using social media has become a necessity for almost every successful organization.
