Aligning with Salk’s vision to be Where Cures Begin, The Salk Institute for Biological Studies Office of Technology Development (OTD) helps translate technologies and assets into marketplace solutions that maximize positive impact on humanity. 

OTD supports the Salk research community to disseminate and commercialize Salk innovations through intellectual property protection, licensing, business development, and technology transfer. We implement creative deal structures that facilitate such translation and look forward to building on our history of working with commercialization partners in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and venture communities.
