Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts is a New York State foundation that supports visual and literary artists. It runs free residencies from May through September at a 200-acre colony just east of downtown Ithaca, offering time for inspiration, a quiet studio, and a peer community. Each session includes one photographer, two writers, and two artists working in painting or other visual media, with stipends and dinners provided five nights a week.

Outside the May–September residencies, the foundation offers highly subsidized short-term retreats in five private apartments and studios for New York State artists and writers from October through April. Public readings and exhibitions featuring residency alumni occur periodically, and a call for entries for the 2024 residency season was announced in late 2023.
