We believe that access to high quality internet connectivity is a basic human right. SamKnows works alongside governments, consumers, ISPs, manufacturers, academics and industry to measure fixed and mobile broadband to help improve global internet performance. SamKnows remains a free resource for consumers and volunteers, who host a purpose-built internet measurement unit (the SamKnows Whitebox). Consumers have access to the internet performance data collected via the Whitebox using SamKnows One - a web based reporting dashboard, via regular SamKnows email report cards and by downloading our free SamKnows app. The data collected allows consumers to put their own connectivity to the test and is used by regulators and ISPs to look for success stories and potential problems.
