Perched on an oceanside bluff, Sam’s in Half Moon Bay has become a favorite destination in the greater Bay Area for stunning sunsets and family-friendly dining.  Sam’s is currently open for takeout and outdoor dining, according to the guidelines of the County of San Mateo health department.  Voted “Best Seafood” and “Best Waterfront Dining” in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Bay Area A-List, Sam’s was also featured on NBC-TV’s The TODAY Show for Sam’s famous Lobster Rolls, selected by the Food Editor as one of the five “Best Sandwiches in America”.  Guests love to enjoy Sam’s breathtaking, panoramic ocean views from every seat, inside or out, and Adirondack chairs next to fire pits overlooking the ocean.  

Reminiscent of a New England style seafood house, Sam’s serves daily fresh fish— grilled or sautéed, live Maine lobster, fresh local crab, fried calamari, fish and chips, Sam’s famous Clam Chowder, house specialties such as Lobster Spaghetti and Chili Garlic Prawns, and other local specialties.  

Sam’s is open seven days a week from lunch through dinner, and gluten-free, vegetarian, and kids menus are available.  We practice all Covid-safe measures, from social distancing to masking and sanitation, to keep our staff and our guests as safe as possible.
