San Diego Continuing Education (SDCE) is the adult education division of the San Diego Community College District (SDCCD) operating within the higher education sector in the United States. It serves six campuses in San Diego and enrolls more than 44,000 students per academic year, offering noncredit courses at no cost and including online options. SDCE was among the early continuing education institutions in California to achieve independent accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The organization employs between 501 and 1,000 staff and faculty. In 2026, the SDCCD Board approved a design-build team to develop a new Mid-City Campus for SDCE, reflecting ongoing facility expansion. It has pursued partnerships such as the Apprenticeship Readiness Program with the San Diego Workforce Partnership to prepare individuals for high-demand trades.
