San Diego Country Club is a member-owned private golf and country club located in Chula Vista, California. Founded in 1897, it was the first country club established in San Diego and remains the only private club in Southern San Diego County. The club operates as a membership-based organization with a long-standing presence in the regional golf landscape.

It hosts competitive golf events, including the U.S. Women’s Open in 1964 and the U.S. Women’s Amateur in 1993 and 2017, and is slated to host the U.S. Senior Women’s Open in 2025. This history of championship hosting highlights its role within the golf courses and country clubs sector as a traditional, private venue serving its member community in southern California.
