San Juan College is a higher education institution located in Farmington, New Mexico, at 4601 College Boulevard (ZIP 87401). Founded in 1956 as a branch of New Mexico State University, it became an independent community college on July 1, 1982, officially known as the Junior College District of San Juan County. The college serves more than 5,500 credit students per semester and employs a staff of more than 530, including 81 full-time and 203 part-time faculty. It is a Certified Member College of the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE). Recent activity includes national recognition for marketing and communications at the Paragon Awards and partnerships with external organizations, including Clearnetworx, LLC, to support initiatives at its West Campus fiber technology program.
