Sandman Hotel Group is a mid-sized, family-owned hospitality company headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. It traces its roots to 1963 when founder Bob Gaglardi established Northland Properties to build hotels and restaurants centered on strong customer service. The first Sandman hotel opened in Smithers, British Columbia, in 1967, and the group is now led by Bob’s son, Tom Gaglardi. 

Today the group operates more than 60 hotels across Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the United States. In 2023, Sandman Hotel Group formed a partnership with Music BC to collaborate on entertainment-focused offerings.
