Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) is a midsize nonprofit arts and education organization based in Santa Barbara, California, dedicated to using film to make a positive community impact. Its main festival takes place each February and has grown into a major industry event, attracting about 100,000 attendees for 11 days of 200+ films, tributes, and symposiums. Beyond the festival, SBIFF operates year-round, expanding educational programming to engage, enrich, and inspire the community, with a focus on reaching underserved populations.

Over its 39-year history, SBIFF has become one of the leading film festivals in the United States. In June 2016, SBIFF acquired the Riviera Theatre, which serves as its home and a catalyst for program expansion and broader educational outreach. Within the film industry and non-profit arts space, SBIFF positions itself as a community-focused hub that brings independent and international cinema to Santa Barbara and supports learning through film.
