Santa Farma was incorporated as Farma Laboratory in 1944 and took a step towards growth following merger with Santa Laboratory. Santa Farma İlaç Fabrikası Kolektif Şirketi was incorporated in 1954 to be transformed to Santa Farma İlaç Sanayi A.Ş. in 1973.

Keeping up with the developments in pharmaceutical technologies rapidly, Santa Farma adopted modern production techniques in its facilities and varied its product range by not only developing new products but also producing drugs for leading multinational companies in Turkey based on licensing agreements.
