Saras is a long-established Italian energy company based in Milan, Lombardy, and now fully integrated into Vitol. Its activities span oil refining and products sales, marine bunkering, and the production and sale of electricity, including from renewable sources. The Sarlux refinery in Sarroch near Cagliari is one of the Mediterranean's largest refineries, processing about 300,000 barrels per day and notable for its plant complexity and over six decades of operation focused on efficiency and environmental sustainability.
