Sarginsons has recently solved a long standing casting issue, recycled aluminium being weaker than primary. By overcoming oxide and iron contamination it has enhances the strength of recycled aluminium whilst reducing the carbon content of to near zero. By using digital twins to determine these differences Sarginsons exactly mimics the production component’s mechanical characteristics avoiding the frequent teething problems seen when perfectly performing prototypes prove difficult and expensive to cast.
