Scampo is a restaurant on the first floor of Boston's Liberty Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. Created by chef Lydia Shire and The Lyons Group, its Italian-inspired cuisine draws on Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavors. The space, designed by Rafael Alvarez and Brannen Brock, features copper lighting, an orange bar, and a mozzarella bar. The operation is supported by a modest, small-to-mid-sized staff, and its kitchen emphasizes house-made breads baked in a tandoori oven, pastas that push beyond traditional red-sauce norms, entrées built from simple ingredients, and an approachable wine list featuring small Italian and American producers. The dining spaces include a secluded 60-seat outdoor patio open during warm weather and a 50-seat private dining room overlooking the open kitchen. In 2019, Patch.com named Scampo among the top Italian restaurants in the United States.
