Schmidt is part of the H&S Family of Bakeries, along with H&S Bakery and Northeast Foods. Together we make up America’s largest family-owned variety baker. Our 24 branches service the greater eastern seaboard with over 400 DSD routes. Schmidt Baking began a partnership with H&S Bakery and Northeast Foods in 2000, continuing the business from one family baker to another. In 2004 H&S Bakery acquired Schmidt Baking and added hearth baked bread and rolls to the existing product lines.
