Schools That Can Milwaukee works to engage, empower, and connect transformational school leaders to foster more high-quality Milwaukee schools for the kids who need them most.

We believe great leaders are the heart of great schools. Student success depends on high-quality school leaders, who recruit and empower excellent teachers for every classroom.

That’s why we engage leaders at all career stages, empower them to get better, and connect them with one another:

- We identify Milwaukee’s home-grown school leadership talent and recruit educators from elsewhere to join our community.

- We develop, coach, and train school leaders using hands-on support.

- We bring leaders together in an open and collaborative environment focused on getting better together for the kids in our city.

We work with leaders at all types of schools in ever sector – Milwaukee Public Schools, independent charter schools, and private schools that participate in the voucher program.

Whether MPS, charter, or private, great schools already exist in Milwaukee – but many more are needed. To expand the number of great schools, we must increase the number of high-quality school leaders. This is the best way to guarantee success for all students, regardless of background or school sector.
