The Schwabe Group comprises several different affiliated companies in the pharmaceutical and health industry. All of the companies within the Group focus on plants as the basis for developing pharmaceuticals and health products.
 
The original form of the Group’s parent company, which is now Dr. Willmar Schwabe GmbH & Co. KG, is one of the oldest pharmaceutical manufacturers in Europe and has a company history dating back over 150 years.

We do so by researching and developing plant-based medicines and health-care products. Our goal is to create value through innovation. We believe that innovative phytomedicines will become increasingly important over the next few decades.
By influencing several target systems in the body at the same time, they may be more appropriate for patients suffering from complex or age-related diseases than is the “silver bullet” approach of synthetic medicines.
