ScienceOpen is an independent company based in Berlin and Boston. Disappointed by the status-quo in academic publishing, we started to make our own vision of scholarly communication become reality – by combining decades of experience in traditional publishing, academic research and computing. 

ScienceOpen's business model is based on providing a range of products and services to academic publishers, libraries and institutes within the discovery environment of over 73 million articles and records. From context building, open access hosting, online peer review management and editorial dashboards, to full publishing models, ScienceOpen is capable of creating individual solutions for a wide range of publisher types. Our goal is to promote open communication across all scholarly disciplines in a fair and legal manner together with our  partners.
