Scientific Magnetics designs and manufactures superconducting magnet systems and related cryogenic solutions for academic and industrial applications, offering both standard products and custom configurations. From the initial coil geometry and design through assembly, testing and commissioning, the company develops complete magnet systems using both low-temperature and high-temperature superconductors in circular and non-circular geometries. Since 2018, in collaboration with MR Resources Inc., Scientific Magnetics has provided services for NMR users in academic, pharmaceutical, contract research and industrial settings, including service contracts, on-demand spares, quench recovery and helium refill, relocation of complete systems, and refurbished NMR units. The company is based in Abingdon, England, and operates in the medical equipment manufacturing sector. In January 2021, Magnetica Limited merged with Scientific Magnetics.
