Scot Laboratories, based in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, was originally founded in 1962 to manufacture carpet cleaning and floor care products for The Kirby Company. Since then the product line has been expanded to include a variety of cleaning products marketed under the Scot's TUFF™ brand name and sold through industrial and commercial distributors. In 2004 we introduced our new line of carpet care products specifically formulated for the performance needs of professional carpet cleaners. We bring to this market superior carpet cleaning expertise, capitalizing on our work with encapsulating polymers that are proven to eliminate the common problems of wicking and rapid resoiling. Scot Laboratories became a division of The Scott Fetzer Company in 1971, which is headquartered in Westlake, Ohio, has revenues exceeding $1 billion, and is privately held by Berkshire Hathaway Incorporated.
