sE Electronics is the UK's No.1 microphone brand in terms of sales volume in both the studio and project studio markets. sE was established in 2000 by Siwei Zou, James Ishmaev-Young, Mitch Carey and Phil Smith. Uniquely, for a mass market microphone manufacturer, sE are still best known in the mic world for products which are entirely made in house, from hand-made chassis to hand-made capsules, shock mounts, cases etc. In fact all of sE's condenser mics still boast hand crafted capsules. This approach to manufacturing has also yielded some of the most exciting manufacturing partnerships in the pro audio industry; sE Rupert Neve and sE Munro. Mr Rupert Neve and Mr Siwei Zou have designed the sE Rupert Neve Signature Series range of microphones including the RNR1 and RN17. Mr Andy Munro and Siwei Zou have designed the sE Munro Egg 150 monitor. sE is also the company responsible for the patented Reflexion Filter.
