SE Tylose entwickelt, produziert und vertreibt Spezialchemikalien. In Wiesbaden werden ca. 65.000 Tonnen/Jahr Celluloseether produziert. Damit gehört SE Tylose auf dem Weltmarkt zu den führenden Anbietern. Die wasserlöslichen Celluloseether werden aus dem nachwachsenden Rohstoff Cellulose (Zellstoff) hergestellt. Die Cellulose stammt aus nachhaltiger Bewirtschaftung sowohl von Holz als auch von einem Nebenprodukt der Baumwollherstellung. 

Die Produkte und ihre Einsatzgebiete
SE Tylose bietet mehr als 200 verschiedene Celluloseether-Produkte an. Die Einsatzgebiete sind sehr vielfältig. In der Baustoff- und Farbenindustrie sorgen die Produkte unter dem Markennamen Tylose® für eine verarbeitungsfreundliche Streichfähigkeit von Fertigmörteln, Fliesenklebern, Putzen und Spachtelmassen. Sie verdicken Dispersionsfarben und ermöglichen ein gleichmäßiges und spritzarmes Auftragen der Farbe. Tylose wird zudem als Hilfsstoff in Zahnpasta, Shampoos und Haarspülungen eingesetzt. Weiterhin sind die Kunststoffherstellung, Erdölbohrung und Keramik Anwendungsgebiete von Tylose. 

Nach guter Herstellungspraxis (GMP) hergestellte hochreine Produkte werden unter dem Markennamen Tylopur® in der Pharmaindustrie bei der Tablettenbeschichtung sowie in der Lebensmittelindustrie als Verdickungsmittel verwandt.
