SEAMAAC is a mid-sized nonprofit based in Philadelphia that serves immigrants and refugees in the Greater Philadelphia area. Founded in 1984, it is among the region's oldest and largest refugee-founded organizations. The organization is guided by the view that immigrant and native-born residents contribute to the communities where they live, and it provides support to families in the region. Its services address the needs of families and individuals navigating resettlement and integration, including operating a food pantry. Since 2021, SEAMAAC has collaborated with the Pennsylvania Healthy Pantry Initiative and the Public Health Management Corporation to develop surveys assessing guests' dietary, cultural, and resource needs. In 2021 SEAMAAC also partnered with Jefferson Health to open the Hansjorg Wyss Wellness Center in the BOK Building.
