Seattle Gay News: SGN is the third oldest LGBTQIA+ newspaper in the United States founded in 1974. The publication releases monthly in-print issues, with distribution in Seattle and around the Pacific Northwest. The SGN covers the issues and stories that impacts LGBTQIA+ and other marginalized communities most, spanning topics from news, entertainment, travel, and sports. The paper also publishes its content online on its website at www.sgn.org. Seattle Gay News: SGN is run by owner and publisher Renee Raketty, who is a queer, Latina, transgender woman. The paper supports itself through advertising, as well as community donations from readership to maintain operations.
