SECEP is a regional public education organization based in Norfolk that serves the Hampton Roads area, including the cities of Chesapeake, Franklin, Isle of Wight, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Southampton, Suffolk and Virginia Beach. It supports more than 1,500 students who are in need of special education or alternative education pathways. The organization operates eight centers dedicated to Re-ED and alternative education programs and runs more than 100 ACP/EBICS classrooms located in public schools across the eight cities. Through these programs, SECEP coordinates instructional services within the public education system to address diverse needs in the region. Its operations rely on a workforce of professionals and classified staff who deliver services across its centers and classrooms. All classroom and support staff are trained in crisis prevention utilizing The MANDT System.
