SEDL is an affiliate of the American Institutes for Research focused on addressing core challenges in education systems and communities to help ensure a quality education for all learners. Its work spans research, evaluation, information provision, technical assistance, and professional development across five program areas, including improving school performance, enhancing teaching and learning in specific content areas, integrating technology into instruction, engaging families and communities, and connecting disability research to practice, with an emphasis on K–16 education and underserved students living in poverty. Based in Austin, Texas, SEDL operates as a private nonprofit organization delivering solutions through collaborations with clients and education stakeholders on national, regional, state, and local levels. Acknowledging its integration with AIR, SEDL’s LinkedIn presence is retiring, and partnerships and joint initiatives with AIR continue to shape its activities and impact in education, health, and the workforce.
