Seeds 2000 is a privately held company specializing in the research and development of sunflower hybrids and marketing of sunflower, corn and soybean varieties. The company was founded in the early 1990's by two experienced seedsmen, Dr. Gary Fick and Jay Schuler, who had a vision of what farming would be like in the 21st century. Both owners were frontline players in the highly successful SIGCO Research venture in the late 70's and 80's. They combined the plant breeding expertise of Fick with the entrepreneurial spirit of Schuler to form SEEDS 2000. SEEDS 2000’s mission is to access and develop the best genetics and seed technologies, and incorporate these improvements into its seed products. SEEDS 2000 will produce the best quality seed on the market and deliver to its customers in the most cost-effective manner, thus maximizing our customer’s total return.
