Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) is a government-supported entity established in 2016 to develop Sharjah's entrepreneurial ecosystem and support entrepreneurs in building and growing innovative startups that contribute to the region's economy. It is headquartered at the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park and maintains two hubs located at the American University of Sharjah and the University of Sharjah. Sheraa collaborates with entrepreneurs to help them build, launch, and scale startups, and pursues programs to empower the next generation through hackathons and capacity-building activities in its university hubs. The organization hosts the annual Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival, which attracts more than 5,000 participants including entrepreneurs, investors, creators, industry leaders, and youth, for two days of events.
