Sharpham Park was launched by Mulberry founder, Roger Saul from his mixed economy organic farm on the Somerset levels. Today Sharpham Park is the largest producer of organic spelt products in the UK.

Sharpham Park is founded upon 20 organic and environmental statements and where Regenerative Agriculture is a way of life. We use both farming and grazing practices to positively repair our soils, improve biodiversity and increase carbon capture. Our aim has always been to create long-lasting environmental benefits and by combining our organic farming principles with regenerative practices, we are working positively to repair landscapes for future generations.

A core focus on the farm is soil health as we believe good nutritionally rich soil creates healthy crops and ensures the nutrient density of the spelt we grow and use in our products. We manage the soil by min-till, rotational grazing and cropping.

On the Somerset levels we have incredible wildlife and our four metre margins around all our fields allow our native animals and insects such as wild deer, hare, bees and dormice to shelter and forage for food all year round.

Having an organic mill on the farm is unusual but a deliberate choice as it means we are in control of the key processes in terms of the quality of the flour and grain. Our Millers stone grind the grain to make flour the traditional way, keeping vital nutrients locked in and maintaining the freshness of the grain which contributes to its delicious flavour. Our mill is powered by our solar panels.
