Shaw Street Studio is a small, artist-led facility based in Fort Worth, Texas, occupying a historic Southside building. The 3,000-square-foot space features 11-foot ceilings and houses a complete lithography, etching, and letterpress workshop, along with a darkroom for traditional and photomechanical processes. The main studio supports large-scale painting, as well as print preparation and documentation. Founded in 2009 by artist and master printmaker David Conn, the studio emerged from converting the first floor into a studio and gallery and the second floor into a loft in the same building. Conn's work has been shown in more than 100 exhibitions across the Americas, Japan, and Europe and is held in permanent collections at institutions such as the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the Modern Museum of Art in San Paulo, Brazil, and the Bureau of Art Exhibitions in Lodz, Poland. The facility welcomes visitors by appointment five days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
