She Is Safe is a survivor-led nonprofit equipping women and girls who face slavery in underserved communities with the tools to build lives of freedom and faith for a strong future. In the last year alone, more than 82,000 people have benefited from She Is Safe's prevention, rescue, or restoration programs — including 5,312 women and teens in 480 groups for learning, lending, and new beginnings. The Problem: Girls are vulnerable to being sold for sex, labor, or forced child marriage. 87% of victims of trafficking for sexual exploitation are women and girls Post-COVID, the number of girls being trafficked has surged by 38% globally Every minute, 23 girls are given or sold into child marriage The Good News: Freedom is possible and replicable. She Is Safe’s proven programs raise awareness and income-generating alternatives among high-risk populations. Our rescues at border crossings, in red-light districts, and refugee camps bring women and girls to restoration that heals and equips them with the skills they need to generate income and live in freedom and dignity — and to become agents of change within their local communities.
