Shell Rock Soy Processing is developing a soybean crushing facility in the Shell Rock area of Iowa, located at the Butler Logistics Park northwest of the town. The plant is designed to process 38.5 million bushels of soybeans annually, about 110,000 bushels per day, converting locally grown beans into products for food and fuel use. Its aim is to maximize value from regional soybeans and connect Butler County and surrounding areas with the global agricultural economy. The facility sits within the food and beverage manufacturing industry as a new soybean processing operation. When fully operational, it is expected to provide dozens of local jobs.
