Shelton School & Evaluation Center, based in Dallas, Texas, functions as an education organization focused on individuals who learn differently, offering education, evaluation, therapy, research, and outreach. The organization comprises four main entities—the School, the Evaluation Center, the Speech Clinic, and the Training Center—creating a continuum of services. Founded in 1976 by Dr. June Ford Shelton, it has grown to serve hundreds of students and operates as an international demonstration, resource, and research center. Its primary focus is students with learning differences such as dyslexia and ADHD, addressing challenges in reading, spelling, writing, comprehension, math, organization, and attention. The school provides instruction for learners from pre-school (3 years old) through 12th grade and runs Shelton Scholars, a one-on-one reading tutoring program offered on Saturdays during the school year and in July. The Outreach and Training Center, led by Nancy Coffman, trains teachers in programs such as SEE, Alphabetic Phonics, and Montessori Applied to at-Risk students.
