The Shire of Ashburton is a regional local government authority in Western Australia, delivering local governance and services to its communities. It is based in Tom Price and encompasses four town sites: Tom Price, Paraburdoo, Onslow, and Pannawonica, with a population of just over 10,000. The region includes large-scale open-cut mining operations, pastoral leases and cattle stations, and a fishing industry, all set in an arid tropical landscape that also encompasses Karijini National Park.

As a government body, it coordinates planning, service delivery, and development for these areas. The Shire has engaged in partnerships and infrastructure projects to support local growth, including a collaboration with the Onslow Chamber of Commerce & Industry to deliver a Small Business Grant Program. Past initiatives have included projects such as reshaping stormwater basins in Onslow to improve drainage and resilience.
