Shoudout! App is a content monetization platform that takes an old school social media and reinvents it for the digital age. It is a combination of the traditional “shout out” to friends on radio approach, but with the interactive and viral nature of today’s social media, giving users the opportunity to get their voice heard and break through the noise of today’s visual Social Media panorama, from a one to one basis to viral buzz. We have developed a free iOS and Android app which allows a user to record up to six-seconds of audio (a shoudout) for a friend or group of people and then either “drop” it into a specific Crowd where it can then be heard by the intended recipient and other listeners through Shoudify (an app which lets users listen to their favorite playlists and hear from their Crowd), or into a queue being managed by a DJ at a Live Event or live radio station. Shoudout also allows users to form their own Crowds. They can make their Crowd accessible to all or “Private” (password enabled), and they can make it either suitable for audiences of all ages, or rated “XL” for Xtra Lewd (ages 18+.) Shoudify is a Music Streaming service, available on desktop through a browser and on mobile as an app (iOS and Android), where the user can listen to her/his favorite playlists from online music streaming services like Spotify and between song skips hear shoudouts from friends in their Crowd. Our business model is designed to be sponsorship based. Each shoudout contains the six-second user generated message followed by an eight-second sponsorship. These sponsorship spots can be contextual to the user generated message, as well as geo-targeted and Crowd specific. Furthermore, shoudouts can be shared on social media feeds, thus giving the sponsor the benefit of the viral nature of social media. Shoudout! and Shoudify work together to form a brand new type of social media phenomenon, Social Music.
