Side by Side is a Bay Area nonprofit focused on youth who have faced adversity, offering services that support healing from trauma, resilience building, and the realization of their potential. Rooted in Marin County in 1895 as an orphanage, the agency later operated as Sunny Hills Services before adopting the Side by Side brand in 2018. Each year it serves nearly two thousand children, young adults, and family members with services designed to prevent the escalation of dangerous conditions and support positive development. In 2021, Dr. Christine Isana Garcia was appointed as chief executive officer.
