The Sierra Club is the largest and oldest grassroots environmental organization in the United States. The Maryland Chapter is the state affiliate, coordinator all state focused programming, membership engagement and advocacy for our 12,000 member and 48,000 supporters in Maryland. The Maryland Chapter of the Sierra Club focuses on protecting the state's natural and wildlife resources, monitoring legislation, sponsoring outings, and educating the public about pressing environmental issues, including protection of open space, promoting clean energy, and ensuring that everyone has access to clean air and clean water. The Maryland Chapter's main office is in College Park with a satellite office in Baltimore. an office run by a small staff with the help of one or more college interns.
