Signal Cleveland is a nonprofit newsroom based in Cleveland, Ohio, founded in 2022. It blends community-building with daily local reporting, producing journalism on government, economy, education, health, and safety and resilience. The organization includes Cleveland Documenters, a network of about 600 residents across nearly every Greater Cleveland ZIP code who are trained and paid to cover public meetings, expanding community participation in news.

It serves residents who may not have ready access to trusted local journalism, delivering content online, by email, and on social platforms, and offering explainers to navigate life in Cleveland. In recent years it has expanded its footprint, launching Signal Akron in 2023 and earning the 2024 Gather Award for Community-Centered Journalism.
