Founded by Felice Sacci in Milan, Italy in 1917, SILCA is symbolic of a passion for cycling that has endeared people to the brand around the world for more than a century. 

In 2014, the brand was bought by Josh Poertner and moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Poertner, the former Technical Director at Zipp Speed Weaponry set out to revive the brand using the same values, beliefs and passion that made the brand iconic in the first place. 

Today, SILCA is located in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana and is once again capturing the hearts and attention of cycling enthusiasts around the world. Beginning with the relaunch of the SuperPista Ultimate Floor Pump, we've expanded our product line-up to now include a multitude of floor pumps, high-end tools, durable packs, an innovative line-up of mobile inflation products, and replacement parts for products that span decades. We're also heavily involved in the sport of cycling and work with partners like German professional cycling team 
BORA-Hansgrohe to continue research on tire pressures and other bicycle systems in order to advance our understanding of how they relate to overall performance. 

Walk into our office and you'll find a diverse group of innovators, white boards full ideas, and a lot of locally roasted coffee. We ask a lot of questions and don't let the fear of failure keep us from continuing to push the boundaries in our work. We're doers here. And it's that drive and passion for what we do that's lead to countless industry and non-industry awards and has also seen us grow from 1 person to now over 15 in three short years. 

OUR WHY: It is our vision that working on and with your bike should be as pleasurable  as riding it. We want to bring the zen of bike maintenance to the people. To do that, you need high quality, ergonomic tools designed with passion and care-the kid of tools that make people want to work on their bikes; make them want to adjust their tire pressures, etc.
