SILIOS Technologies designs and manufactures micro-optical components used to shape laser beams and to support visible and near-infrared spectrometry. Founded in 2001, the company began as a spin-off of Ion Beam Services, a larger SME in microelectronics. By applying microfabrication methods from electronics manufacturing, SILIOS produces components for beam shaping in medical, tooling, and scientific laser systems, as well as micro-spectrometers and aberration generation. It is based in Rousset, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France, and operates as a small-to-mid-sized enterprise. Its customer base includes developers of optical instruments and laser systems across research and industry that require compact, precise micro-optical elements. The company pursues research in micro-optics manufacturing and optical instrument development, with an emphasis on imaging and multispectral applications. In 2018 it expanded its product line with the CMS4 Series, a 4.0-megapixel multispectral camera line, and announced a collaboration with Bodkin Design to offer its CMS multispectral cameras.
