Sipakorn University serves as a higher governmental educational institute, integrating research and education, and disseminating knowledge of art, culture, science and technology to produce qualified graduates with intelligence, creativity, morality, ethical motivation and a sense of responsibility towards society. The university has approximately 11,000 undergraduate students, and 3,000 post-graduate students located in three main campuses; Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom province, and Phetchaburi province. Academic staff numbers are roughly 700, with an additional 500 academic assistants and administrative personnel. The university was originally established as the School of Fine Arts under the Fine Arts Department found in 1943. Today, the university is a full-fledged university offering degree programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels in all major fields of art and design, science and technology, health science, social science and the humanities as one of the top ten universities in the country.
