Silicon wafers form the foundation of the modern semiconductor industry and are the basis for chips used across all areas of digital life. Wafers made of hyperpure silicon enable highly complex semiconductor devices, including advanced power and automotive applications, telecommunications solutions, as well as highly integrated microprocessors and memory components for information processing. Without silicon wafers, products such as smartphones, computers, navigation systems, and displays would be unthinkable. At the same time, the requirements placed on modern wafers are more diverse and individual than ever before, driven by increasing performance demands and rapidly evolving technologies.

With a workforce of around 4,300 employees, Siltronic operates a global network of state-of-the-art production facilities in Asia, Europe, and the USA. All sites are strategically located close to customers and supported by highly qualified specialists. Our largest and most advanced production capacities, including leading-edge facilities for 200 mm and 300 mm wafers, are located in Singapore and form a central pillar of our global manufacturing network.
