On October 1, Silver Spike Capital, LLC (“SSC”), the investment adviser of Silver Spike Investment Corp, announced that it entered into a definitive agreement with Chicago Atlantic BDC Holdings, LLC (together with its affiliates, “Chicago Atlantic”), pursuant to which a joint venture between Chicago Atlantic and SSC would be created to combine and jointly operate SSC’s, and a portion of Chicago Atlantic’s, investment management businesses, including Chicago Atlantic BDC Inc. (ticker: LIEN). The investment adviser Silver Spike Capital, LLC was subsequently renamed Chicago Atlantic BDC Advisers, LLC.
 
The joint venture combines two leading investment platforms in the cannabis industry.
