Simpson Housing Services is a mid-sized nonprofit in the individual and family services sector, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The organization began in 1982 as an emergency overnight shelter at Simpson United Methodist Church and has since expanded to include an extended-stay shelter, supportive housing for youth, single adults, and families, as well as developmental and educational services for children. In 2026, the organization opened a new building in South Minneapolis' Whittier neighborhood, reflecting ongoing expansion within the city. Annually, it serves about 2,000 people experiencing homelessness or transitioning out of homelessness, including 300 families with around 650 children, through a mix of shelters, housing programs, and child-focused services.
