Simularity provides software that leverages artificial intelligence to analyze geospatial data in historical context. Our main product, Automated Image Anomaly Detection System (AIADS) finds unusual changes in satellite and aerial images by comparing them to historical images of the same location.

Our software enables active monitoring of large geographic areas, such as whole countries, by having AIADS analyze it first, and determine which areas analysts should examine in more detail. This reduces the cost dramatically, since our software is effective on low resolution images, such as free Sentinel 2 images from the ESA, which are used to identify small areas where high resolution images are needed, rather than requiring expensive high resolution images of the entire Area of Interest.

To demonstrate the cost-effectiveness of our software, we offer a free South China Sea Rapid Alert (SCSRA) service. The alerts are based on AIADS analyzing Sentinel 2 imagery of the region in the process described above. The value of being able to monitor large regions in near real time has also been demonstrated by our free SCSRA service: our reports have recently had geopolitical impact in the governments of South East Asian countries (see In The News on our website).

Our customers consist of both government and private sector entities and are primarily in the US and the Asia-Pacific region.
