The SJCC Metas Program is an educational support initiative within San Jose City College, located in San Jose, California. It coordinates instructional and student services across campus to improve retention, assist students in completing courses, and sustain progress toward certificates, associate degrees, or transfer requirements. The Metas Center is housed in the college’s Multi-Disciplinary Building, and the program was established through a U.S. Department of Education Title V grant, making services available to all SJCC students. Its offerings include programs such as Cultivamos Excelencia Undergraduate Research, Caminos Summer Bridge, First Year Experience, individual tutoring, and small-group peer-facilitated workshops, along with counseling, textbook loans, and calculator loans. As part of the Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions Program (Title V: HSI), the initiative aims to expand its capacity to serve Hispanic and low-income students.
