The Sleep Research Society (SRS) is an organization for scientific investigators who educate and research sleep and sleep disorders. The SRS serves its members and the field of sleep research through training and education, and by providing forums for the collaboration and the exchange of ideas. The SRS facilitates its goals through an annual SLEEP meeting where cutting-edge research is presented. Additionally, the SRS advocates on behalf of its members to increase federally-funded sleep research through grass-roots lobbying and communications efforts. The SRS also publishes the journal SLEEP, produces educational products, and provides volunteer opportunities for regular and student members. Mission: The Sleep Research Society Foundation is committed to the growth and development of the field of sleep research through education and research funding opportunities. Goals: - To provide forums for the exchange of information pertaining to sleep research, scientific publications and meetings - To establish and maintain standards of reporting and classifying data in the field of sleep research - To collaborate with other organizations to foster scientific investigation on sleep and its disorders
