SLO Hacks organizes events year-round dedicated towards building an inclusive hacker community and environment that empowers students with the necessary tools to dream, code, and build projects that contribute to social good. Our vision is to engage students of all backgrounds who demonstrate passion for computer science and technology in an inclusive educational environment that builds community, fosters fun, and leaves a lasting impact on students. SLO Hacks is Cal Poly SLO's largest hackathon. We host multiple events year-round dedicated towards our mission of bringing computer science education to all students. From our beginner-oriented hackathon typically hosted in the fall to our flagship 350-person main event in the winter, our events bring students, mentors, and corporate sponsors together to collaborate and build amazing projects.
