Slovenské elektrárne is a major electricity generator based in Bratislava, Slovakia. It operates a combined capacity of 4,129 MWe across five nuclear units and 31 hydroelectric plants, making it Slovakia’s key power producer and one of the largest players in Central and Eastern Europe. The company’s output is free of direct carbon dioxide emissions after the retirement of lignite and coal-fired plants. As Slovakia's primary electricity supplier, it serves the national market while shaping the region's energy landscape through its emphasis on low-emission generation. In 2023, Slovenské elektrárne announced a collaboration with Framatome SAS to develop European nuclear fuel design for its VVER-440 reactors in its fleet.
