Small Ventures USA, LP (SMV) is a venture capital and private equity firm founded by William O. Perkins III. Based in Houston, Texas, SMV deploys capital across multiple sectors and geographic regions on an opportunistic basis, with a bias toward early stage investment. 
In addition to funding, SMV provides operational and financial-trading capabilities to its investment portfolio. 

SMV invests in three broad areas:
-Energy : clean energy, green projects and international infrastructure projects.
-Technology: focus on service companies and internet oriented companies.
-Entertainment: royalty lending, movie production and development, financing

In addition to these three broad areas, a small percentage of the budget is dedicated to unique investments which do not fit into the current portfolio.
